Oh…?
“Ah, did I die?” Idoko, as some people would call her, asked herself this. “This doesn’t seem to be heaven, so it must be my imagination. Ah, but no matter! Wherever this place might be, I’ll do my best, Daddy!”
Another voice he found vaguely familiar? He wasn’t sure exactly how many people he knew would end up here, because he was sure he didn’t know many; but now it seemed there was another one. A young girl’s voice he recognized for some unknown reason. He began with a light smile, turning to face the girl as he spoke. “I’d hope you didn’t die. Though of course, if you fell down a well to get here then—” He froze, wide eyed in shock, finally seeing the girl that the voice belonged to.
He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. The little girl with the same golden hair as he, tied up on either side in neat little braids, just like he did for her ages ago when she was still young and he was still alive. It had to be his daughter. But he had a hard time believing what he was seeing. “.. Id.. Idoko..?” He took a small step towards her, still in shock. “Could it really be you..?”
